First and foremost, this is not an info-graphic advocating rapid mass population reduction by any means necessary. Conversely, it calls for drastic prioritization of family planning programs, and education regarding our current collective mentality. At the moment, there seems to be this idea that we are entitled to a life style based on infinite consumption, the sad truth is that we live on an extremely isolated rock with very limited resources. Just about every man made impact on the environment stems from rampant overpopulation. As population increases more resources are needed to support the additional populous. If population is at a constant rate of increase, consumption is at a constant rate of increase, which then means that natural resources are in a constant rate of decrease. What this all leads to is a very unfortunate situation involving barbaric acts of extreme survival for the most basic of human necessities. The good news is we can continue on this path for about another one hundred years before we start to see major consequences. However, if we are actually going to start pretending to care about the future of our species, we need to have some very serious discussion about weather or not every human on this planet is entitled to a child. Are you capable raising a child who will one day be expected to contribute far more than they consume? Will that child be aware that the choices they, and their entire generation make, will one day govern weather or not two thirds of nine billion people starve, or six billion people gradually start to co-exsist.
